It is well known by our members that Polam FCU is a strong supporter and participant in the Bay Area Polish-American community. We work with local organizations and our members help form the backbone of what makes us a strong part of the Bay Area. Most importantly, our members visit and patronize Polish-owned businesses all around them, and businesses tend to work together to make our community great.
If you want to do more to help keep our local economies strong, there’s a number of things you can do to support your neighbors, friends and family, as we pride ourselves on who we are and the strength of our community. Here are a few ideas:
- Go online and show your support. It’s 2019, and technology seems to have taken over the world. But that’s not a bad thing – with sites and apps like Facebook, Yelp, TripAdvisor, Twitter, Google Plus. and Instagram, it’s easier than ever to show your support for local businesses. It’s easy to leave a good review on these sites, especially Yelp and TripAdvisor. Instagram is a great tool if you’re dining at a local restaurant – just take a snapshot of your meal, mention the business name, and you’ve already given them a boost.
- Choose a credit union as your financial institution. We’re not just tooting our own horn here, but if you consider yourself part of the Polish-American community in the Bay Area, Polam FCU may be the right fit for you. Becoming a member of our credit union gives you an advantage because our services are tailor-made for our Polish-American community members. We also offer services such as business checking and savings accounts, no-fee ATMs across the country, mobile banking through our app, and access to UChoose rewards.
- Participate in a community event. In our community, we often have events going on throughout the year. If you’re looking for a new way to get to know a variety of different people and show your support, attending an event can help boost the visibility of our community, as attendance at public events can affect future sponsorships due to the return on their investment. What’s more, you can visit our Facebook page to learn about upcoming events like picnics, concerts, potlucks, and more!
