Conversations over Coffee: Concord Branch Manager Anna Wojciechowski

When it comes to balancing work and leisure, Anna Wojciechowski seems to be on the right track. And as the manager for the Polam FCU branch in Concord, California, and the mother of two, she balances both elements with skill.

Anna has been with Polam FCU as the Concord branch manager for a little over a year, and says she feels it’s been like it’s been longer than that. “During that time I have learned many new things and met great people,” she said to us. “Working here is pretty challenging at times but fun, and I learn something new everyday.”

As a branch manager, Anna is excited about the rollout of CardValet with Polam FCU, what it means for the credit union, and the amazing ways it can help serve Polam members. In particular, Anna likes that the app gives members instant access to their transactions via alerts, and how it gives them the opportunity to set locations where the card can be used.

“I love new technology and feel proud that Polam is catching up,” she said. “Our credit union is moving in the right direction.”

Anna has two sons – Damien, 5, and Oliver, 6 – who attend a Polish school in Walnut Creek, Calif. Polam FCU sponsors some of the events for this school, including a recital contest. As a parent at the school as well as a branch manager with Polam, Anna helps out wherever possible. She was a member of the school’s board of directors, and for the last couple of years she has been in charge of the school’s Facebook page.

When Anna isn’t keeping the Concord branch running smoothly and successfully, she has an active life with her family and the Polish community where she lives. On weekends, she and her family “always do something fun,” whether it’s camping, hiking, or exploring beautiful Northern California. She is also one of the administrators for a group on Facebook for Polish parents of children in Northern California, namely the Bay Area.

“I try to live my life to the fullest,” Anna says. I think we can agree she’s doing just that.
