Current Openings

Plans, directs, organizes, and controls operational activities and staff of the branch to have complete financial oversight, and to ensure profitability and accountability, over all aspects of the branch’s operations. Manages a branch with seven or fewer team members.

Essential Functions:

  1. Supervises and performs functions as needed of branch staff including Teller, New Accounts, and Lending duties within policies and procedures and security measures to protect the membership and avoid losses to the Credit Union.
  2. Ensures the application of and compliance with established operating policies and procedures within the department, including reviewing updates with branch staff to ensure appropriate knowledge and compliance.
  3. Assists in the establishment of branch goals and sales objectives, initiates actions to achieve the goals, ensures team members are trained and are consistently held accountable for achieving goals, sales objectives and the delivery of Superior Service, and assists in monitoring branch operating and sales results relative to established objectives.
  4. Solves issues within the branch in relation to member, team member and operational issues.
  5. Promotes excellent member and public relations by interacting with sponsor groups and maintaining contacts and developing relationships through prospecting and cross-selling.
  6. Establishes, facilitates, and maintains proactive communications with the Operations Manager, other departments, and branches.
  7. Attends scheduled staff and management meetings.
  8. Assists in the formulation/execution of Credit Union policies, objectives, programs, and promotions.
  9. Ensures satisfactory branch audits, including cash and negotiable items, security, and operational processes.
  10. Oversees balancing activities including ATMs, Cash Dispensing Machines, etc., maintains control of vault combinations and alarm security codes and making appropriate recommendations to change security codes as necessary.
  11. Ensures branch facility, branch equipment, and software is up to date and ready to serve the membership; contacts appropriate parties for any maintenance, service, and repairs; ensures branch contains proper inventory and supplies.
  12. Conducts weekly branch meetings to inform team members of operational updates, new promotions, and procedures.
  13. Ensures that the branch’s needs are met concerning the employment, counseling, Performance Evaluations, timecards, scheduling, training, and motivation, and developmental plans and performance expectations are set, reviewed, and achieved.
  14. Ensures full compliance with Polam Federal Credit Union service standards, policies, and procedures; and with the Bank Secrecy Act.
  15. Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Specifications:

  1. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, bachelor’s degree preferred with a minimum of six years related branch management experience in a financial institution including communicating and promoting corporate mission and vision, team and business development, coaching, mentoring, delegating, leading, problem solving, and working through employment challenges.
  2. Must have thorough knowledge of Credit Union (financial institution) services, products, procedures, and lending, or acquire knowledge through training and mentoring.
  3. Requires the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with individuals and groups and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of applications.
  4. Language requirements – fluent in English; Polish and Russian highly desirable but not required.

Accurately perform all member transactions, including savings, share draft/checking, cash receipts, loan payments, credit account transactions, and all member services including but not limited to sale of money orders and traveler’s checks and all Credit Union services and products.

Essential Functions:

  1. Perform routine member transactions, including but not limited to deposits, withdrawals, cash advances, loan payments, transfers, check cashing, cash cashier’s checks, telephone transactions, Western Union, traveler’s checks, and money orders.
  2. Receive share deposits, Visa payments, and various types of loan payments ensuring that payments equal the amount due and that all late charges, if applicable, are collected and processed correctly.
  3. Examine checks for endorsements and negotiability. Process international checks and collection items.
  4. Provide information on credit union products or services, including eligibility for membership, types of credit union accounts, current dividend rates, locations, office hours, and telephone numbers. Provide members with account status, including current balances & loan payoffs.
  5. Respond to members’ requests and complaints, and/or direct them to the proper person for specific information and assistance.
  6. Assist members in understanding and completing forms including but not limited to membership forms, signature cards, funds transfers, loan applications, product, and service agreements.
  7. Cross sell Credit Union products and services to members. Actively solicit prospective members during business hours and during business functions, community events and special promotions.
  8. Receive various information pertaining to member accounts, and route to proper department for processing.
  9. Maintain and balance teller drawer.
  10. Complete Currency Transaction Report and Suspicious Activity Report.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned.
